This video is based on my quest for the graves of Indian soldiers in Gallipoli. During the quest, I got to know about the contribution of the Indian soldiers in World War 2. I was informed that in a particular event the Indian soldiers were attacked by the Allied forces who actually brought them in Turkey. Watch this video to know details on the role of Indian soldiers in the war of Gallipoli, (World War-1). I got emotional after seeing the names of Indian soldiers for the first time.

MY QUEST FOR THE UNSUNG HEROES Gelibolu, also known as Gallipoli, is a town on the Dardanelles Strait in northwest Turkey. It’s known for the battlefields of the World War-1 Gallipoli campaign between the Ottoman Empire and Allied forces. Among 100,000 people who got killed in this bloody battle, almost 15,000 were Indian Soldiers (under British Raj). Surprisingly, The Indian story of Gallipoli has barely been told before. I have shared the names of a few Indian martyrs in this video. Many soldiers were Sikhs & Gurkhas. I found these names at the Helles memorial. Most of the graves are maintained by CWGC.
